Client

To design an investment feature enhancement for the Hang Seng Bank mobile app and a credit card overview for the bank's responsive web platform.

Objectives

In this one-year project, my colleague and I worked under the guidance of a design manager, tasked with designing various sections of the banking app and website. In addition to designing UI and UX, I also participated in UAT and user test.

My role involved designing three key functions for the Hang Seng Bank digital platform: Card Overview, Securities, and Card Loan. Our primary goal was to develop user-friendly and visually appealing designs that would improve the functionality of these features and provide customers with a seamless experience. By enhancing these critical areas of the bank's digital platform, we aimed to boost customer satisfaction and foster greater loyalty.

Card Overview

As the first part of my responsibility, I need to quickly grasp the functioning and crucial aspects of the entire system. It's also essential for me to be well-versed in designing language systems and components. When designing, there are trade-offs between adhering to design guidelines and optimizing usability, and it's crucial to strike a balance between the two.

The project presented a range of challenges, including the need to consider diverse perspectives from various teams, and finding a balance between sales objectives and design principles.

Securities

Securities is a critical function for banks, but it can be very complex. As the designer, it was my responsibility to communicate clearly with both customers and developers, ensuring that all features were clearly explained and easily accessible. By providing a clear connection map for users to navigate the complexities of the Securities function, we could help improve the overall user experience and ensure customer satisfaction.

Card Loan

As the designer, I was involved in the entire function design and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Given the wide range of users for Hang Seng Bank's digital platform, ensuring usability was our top priority. We also prioritized accessibility, ensuring that users with disabilities could easily navigate the platform without any barriers. During the UAT process, I carefully checked not only the UI but also the alt text and contrasting colors to ensure accessibility requirements were met.
